Guided by the objective of developing a guideline document on Principles and Guidelines on Good Regulatory Practices, a training-workshop on Good Regulatory Practice (GRP) led by the DTI-National Competitiveness Council (DTI-NCC) was held last 15-17 August 2016 at Century Hotel, Angeles City, Pampanga. The training-workshop was participated by the Technical Working Group (TWG) members from various DA Regulatory Agencies which was created to establish the Principles and Guidelines on Good Regulatory Practice.

The training-workshop aims to level off the understanding of DA regulatory agencies on the principles and concepts of GRP.  Armed with a deeper understanding on GRP concepts, the TWG is now equipped to efficiently develop the guideline document.

Also, the training-workshop served as a venue to introduce Project Repeal of the DTI-NCC. Primarily, Project Repeal seeks to reduce the cost of compliance for businesses and entrepreneurs and the cost of administration and enforcement for the government.

Looking forward, the Bureau together with the TWG members will conduct public consultations for the establishment of the Philippine National Standard (PNS) - Principles and Guidelines on GRP to gather comments from various stakeholders. The said project is expected to be accomplished before the end of 2016.
